You can promote positive body image by offering positive feedback to your teen.
Complement their sense of style, or color when they buy a new outfit, or dress up for a special occasion.
Stress fit and not size – As long as the clothing fits them and accentuates their positive features, don't put too much stress on the size. This can create unnecessary anxiety when we start to judge the sizes. There is a lot of pressure on teens today to be smaller or slimmer (generally for girls) or bigger (more generally for boys) than they are, and this puts undue attention on their body image.
